Camporee!
Karankawa's Challenge 2008 was a great
success. Congratulations to the Grand Prize winning patrol, the
Shardvarks from Troop 464.
Everyone had a lot of fun and I
think it ran much smoother with the Scoutmasters running the events. I
think the scouts learned more because the Scoutmasters have more
experience. Also, Mrs. D cooked some wonderful home made chili for our
frito pie.
Next year should be even bigger.
We need to get started on promoting it now so that when the troops have
their yearly planning they can put Karankawa's Challenge 2009 on their
calendar. Let's make next year even bigger and better than this year.

- Follow instructions to make your account
- Now you should be at YOUR SR-2 page
- Click the CONCLAVE REGISTRATION link
- Follow instructions (you may go back in later to change your
preferences UNTIL Conclave Registration ends)
- Now print out your REGISTRATION SUMMARY
- Mail your REGISTRATION SUMMARY with your CHECK to council.

When you send your REGISTRATION SUMMARY and CHECK to council
make sure to also send the correct RELEASE FORM. It must be
signed by either a parent if you are under the age of 18 OR by
you if you are 18 or older. We must have a release form for
everyone who attends Conclave with our lodge.

Summer Camp 2008
Make '08
GREAT!
The Lodge was very active at Summer Camp 2007. There were about
28 OA members on staff. A great showing by the LODGE! As an active member of the lodge you can support the camping
efforts of our Council and what better way to do that then to serve on
Summer Camp Staff in 2008. Talk to your Chapter Chiefs and Chapter Advisers
about serving in 08. Talk to your fellow troop members about serving.
Any registered scout meeting the staff requirements is eligible. So, come
on out and spend a fun week with your fellow Arrowmen.
Talk to your troops about attending summer camp at Karankawa.
Many merit badges were offered and an "excellent" time was had
by all!

2008 Dues are Due!
Membership Renewal Form
Now is the time to renew your annual dues if you haven't already. Dues
expire every year on December 31st. If you went through your
Ordeal last year, you now need to pay your dues for this year. Help
us reach quality lodge for 2007 by showing your OA
spirit and keeping your membership current.
